I have to say, I have seen many wrap scrap creations and all of them are super-cute but these wall hangings are so impresssive! Made with embroidery hoops (available at craft stores) and Didymos wrap scraps (available at Birdie’s Room), this project can be a fun afternoon project! A big THANK YOU to Cassidee for sharing this project with us, and for the step-by-step photos!! I can’t wait to try this myself!!
STEP 1: Start with some pieces of your favourite scraps and some embroidery hoops. The hoops come in all sizes are are cost around $2 each! Other materials needed will be scissors that will cut through fabric without mangling it, a needles and a heavy thread.

STEP 2: Examine your fabric to find the side and section you would like to showcase. Make sure that your piece is big enough to overlap the hoop by a couple of inches around the perimetre.

STEP 3: Loosen and separate the two hoops and drap the fabric over the smaller loop. Then slide the larger hoop over top to secure the fabric. Again, be sure to leave enough overhang around the entire ring.

STEP 4: Tighten the large ring to secure the fabric in place. Not too tight just yet so the fabric can be smoothed out.

STEP 5: Pull the fabric down over the interior hoop to create a smooth display surface. Tighten the exterior band as needed to firmly secure the fabric. Ensure correct placement of the fabric.

STEP 6: Trim away the excess fabric, leaving at least 1-2 inches all around. The cut does not need to be perfect as this will be hidden at the back.

STEP 7: Check your progress and admire your soon-to-be-completed wall hoop!

STEP 8: Thread your needle and start a floating stitch (there might be a more accurate sewing term for this type of stitch). Work your way evenly around the entire hoop, pulling the fabric towards the back of the hoop. This will secure your fabric in place even further and hide the edges when hung on the wall.

STEP 9: Make your way around the entire hoop, staying well inside the wooden frame.

STEP 10: Once the floating stitch has made the entire round, pull the stitch to tighten up the fabric so that it lays at the back of the hoop. Secure the stitch.

STEP 11: DONE!! Look how beautiful this is!! Find the perfect spot on your wall to hang one or many!
